Description

Delightful cinnamon rolls infused with Biscoff cookie butter, offering a unique twist on a classic treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Biscoff cookie butter
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, incorporating melted butter and egg to form dough.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the risen dough, roll into a rectangle (12×8 inches).
  7. Spread Biscoff cookie butter evenly over the dough’s surface.
  8. Mix ground cinnamon and brown sugar in a bowl, then sprinkle over Biscoff layer.
  9. Roll the dough tightly from one side to form a log.
  10. Slice the log into 1 to 1.5 inch pieces, creating about 8-10 rolls.
  11. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top.
  13. Prepare icing by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  14. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and serve immediately.
