Delicious baked apple fritters made with warm spices and fresh apples, perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large apples, cored and diced
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for glaze
- 1–2 tablespoons milk for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, combine milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
- Fold in diced apples.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over warm fritters and serve immediately.
Notes
Enjoy warm, or serve with yogurt or ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
