Description

Delicious baked apple fritters made with warm spices and fresh apples, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large apples, cored and diced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for glaze
  • 12 tablespoons milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
  5. Fold in diced apples.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk until smooth.
  9. Drizzle glaze over warm fritters and serve immediately.

Notes
