Description

Deliciously moist and sweet banana bread, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 medium bananas (ripe)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bread baking dish.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Add eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla to the bananas and whisk until combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until smooth.
  6. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 55-60 minutes, covering with foil if the top browns too quickly.
  9. Check for doneness with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the bread is ready.
  10. Let cool in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
