A simple and delicious banana bread recipe that’s perfect for using up overripe bananas.

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Incorporate the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; stir until smooth.
- Add the flour and fold until just incorporated.
- Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the loaf in the pan for 10 minutes, then on a wire rack until completely cool.
Notes
For a touch of luxury, try adding nuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
