Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Combine the milk, applesauce, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix the powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a small bowl for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters.
