  • Author: lily
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings
  • Diet: Gluten-Free (with adjustments)

Description

A delightful dish offering a fresh taste of the coast, perfect for casual dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • White fish fillets
  • Beer
  • Flour
  • Crispy fish batter
  • Fresh shredded cabbage
  • Pico de gallo
  • Avocado
  • Sour cream
  • Lime juice
  • Corn tortillas
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the batter: In a bowl, mix together flour, beer, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Dip the fish: Take the white fish fillets and dip them into the prepared batter, ensuring they are completely covered.
  3. Heat the oil: In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat, enough to cover the bottom.
  4. Fry the fish: Once the oil is hot, place the battered fish in the pan and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Make the avocado crema: Mash the avocado in a separate bowl, then mix in sour cream and lime juice until smooth.
  6. Warm the tortillas: Warm corn tortillas in a skillet or microwave until pliable.
  7. Assemble the tacos: Take a tortilla, place a piece of crispy fish on it, and top with cabbage, pico de gallo, and drizzle with avocado crema.
  8. Serve: Arrange tacos on a platter with lime wedges for squeezing over the tacos.

Notes

For extra crispy fish, keep the batter cold. Avoid crowding the pan while frying.
