- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned; drain any excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, and stir to combine.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potato slices and half of the sliced onions.
- Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the potato and onion layer.
- Layer the remaining potato slices and onions on top of the beef.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup evenly over the layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
